找钱 (zhǎo qián): It Means "Give Change," Not "Look for Money"

When a cashier says 找您二十块 (zhǎo nín èrshí kuài), they're not searching for anything. 找钱 is an extremely common way to say "give back change."

When you pay more than the price, the staff hands back the difference — that's 找钱. So 找您二十块 simply means "here's twenty kuai in change."

Next time you hear 找您多少多少, don't start checking your pockets for something you dropped — they're giving you your change.
